Line 1: Line 1:
-**Teranyina** is a living, quasi-immortal weapon capable to destroying [[species:Threadwielders]], native to [[place:Nekenalos]], coincidental ruler of the //[[culture:Nayabaru]]//. She was created by [[character:Ysikary]], who didn't get much opportunity to enjoy her creation before being redefined as breakfast.

-===== Personality =====
-
-Teranyina has a fleeting motherly instinct toward the //Nayabaru//, which is to say she's overwhelmingly inclined to treat them cordially and helpfully in most situations, but the moment they threaten her primary purpose - finding and destroying [[character:Evenatra]] (and thereafter every other Threadwielder, ever) - even just with incompetence, she can morph into something quite short-tempered or even outright dangerous.
-
-She gives (decent!) advice when asked for it, but mostly leaves her plentiful underlings to themselves deliberately (out of generosity, not out of lack of care), with the exception of those she commands into hunting down the last of the //[[culture:Kavkema]]// (in part as a favour to the //Nayabaru//, in part because the less //Kavkema// there are, the more likely she is to finally trap Evenatra).
-
-She's quite deeply grounded in //Nayabaru// culture and refuses to kill any sapient creature (other than Threadwielders). Don't mistake that as kindness, though - she's entirely happy to make you //wish// you were dead, and if you're just a number on her list she won't interfere if you kill yourself. If you're special she'll make sure you can't.
-
-Her most pronounced - and possibly only - virtue is her patience.
-
-==== Opinions ====
-
-Teranyina could, in a way, be said to be opinion-free. She follows her programming and is not known to bear grudges based on personal interactions and misgivings.
-
-==== Loyalties and Animosities in brief ====
-
-Ordered roughly from positive to negative, Teranyina...
-
-  * ...is a protector of the //Nayabaru//.
-  * ...is an enemy of the //Kavkema//.
-  * ...is focussed on the destruction of all [[species:Threadwielders]], but...
-  * ...would be extremely happy to just kill [[character:Evenatra]].
-
-===== Abilities =====
-
-Aside from the unique ability to poison Threadwielders and destroy them, Teranyina's acorporeal components can (on short distance (less than a kilometre, as long as she knows exactly where you are)) grapple with the minds of Earth-vertebrate species (i.e. creatures with a specific neural structure: //Kavkema//, //Nayabaru//, dolphins, humans, but also non-sapient sentient species such as dogs or primitive hadrosaurs) and 'possess' them. She can only focus on one such victim at a time and it leaves her actual body a little vulnerable, but it's been useful before.
-
-She's much faster than most would give her unusual body shape credit for and can outrun all creatures on Nekenalos on open ground - even the //Kavkema// - but prefers to trap or ambush her enemies, since rushing anything just isn't her style. In the trap-building department, her ability to build webs certainly works in her favour.
-
-===== History =====
-
-...
-
-===== Appearance =====
-
-Teranyina, in a word, looks like a large spider. 'Large' in this case means 'with each delicate leg as long as a human being'. Her carapace has a dull black colour with no markings.
